Time for Tea?

Back again with a card for my friend celebrating her birthday.  We are a big group of ladies who like to meet up for lunch when we can.  As a special birthday treat we all went out for afternoon tea yesterday with lots of lovely sandwiches, tiny little cakes and scrummy scones, jam and cream.

I have had the Tea Time Stamp Set from Hobby Art for ages but I knew it would be perfect for this card.  I masked and stamped the individual stamps to create the scene, so a bit of technique for a change.  The image is coloured with copics and finished with lashings of starlight stickles.   The bunting is from the X Cut set Time for Tea build a scene set and the papers are also Papermania Vintage Notes, just gorgeous.

I decorated the inside but couldn't get a decent picture it is so dark here at the moment, I gave up.
Off to put my feet up and watch Death in Paradise tonight, the last one.

Thanks for dropping in

Romance

I can't believe we are nearly at the end of February already and it is still so cold, can't wait for some sunny days (if we get some!).  Here is a card I made for my hubby on valentines day.  I eventually decided it was too girly and made a much simpler card in the end, but I like this one!The  Stamp set is Artistic Etchings from Stampin up and I have decoupaged the Eiffel tower image to give it some Dimension.  The red hearts were stamped with SU En Francis back ground stamp and punched with the heart punch.

Keep warm and have a good week.

Kids Today

Are great!  Youngsters get such a bad press but it's not well deserved.  My daughter Amy has recently planned and managed a project as part of the O2 Think Big Scheme.  She worked with a local care home who look after people with Alzheimer to provide a make over of part of their garden.  The Home wanted a seaside theme as many people have happy memories of spending time at the seaside and it help's them remember good times.  The team supplied all the materials from the budget donated to them to design and make the wall hanging.

Plain Terracotta pots were painted and filled with pretty flowers, solar lights and windmills.

The whole team worked very hard and it shows volunteering can be fun and rewarding.

You can visit the projects blog at 02 Think Big.

Hubby's Card

I hope you are keeping well.  I thought spring was on the way as it was a lovely bright sunny day today, but it has now turned very cold.  I hope I don't need to scrape my car off tomorrow. I hate that!

Today's card is one I made for my husband's birthday recently, he loves his music so this seemed a good theme.  Papers are form Stampin Up and I love the Crumb Cake cardstock, this colour goes with anything.  I have used this guitar stamp loads (Inkadinkadoo I think?).

Thanks for dropping in.

Pretty Lady

My lovely daughter Amy has just turned 18, OMG I am still in shock about it.  I wanted a real girly pretty card for her and finally used my Isabella Rubber Stamp.  I loved the colours they used on the packaging so just copied it for this card.  The tulle ribbon has been tied into an oversize bow as the card is an 8 inch square. Sorry about the blurry picture, taken in a rush before the battery in the camera died!

I am feeling a bit under the weather and have a nasty cold and cough so I think I will take a duvet day and try and get over it.

Thanks for stopping by

MIA Catching up with Christmas

Back again to my very neglected blog, my intentions are always good but it just does not happen!  Here we go with my first post of 2013, so a belated Happy New Year.

My daughter appreciates my cards so it is always a joy to make her a special one.  Here is the so cute Molly the Elf from Saturated Canary   Coloured with copics, I did struggle with reds as it did bleed a bit so any tips welcome.  The papers are from Papermania Home for Christmas I had as part of my Demo kit for Docrafts, they are a gorgeous Scandinavian style.  I have teamed it up with some Crumb Cake cardstock from Stampin Up and distressed all the edges with my scissors. I just love the little wooden reindeer. I cheated and used a ready done mini bow and threaded some twine with a little gold bell, so cute. Little selections of flowers to finish it off.

I am going to work out how to add a new page to this blog so I can upload my Docraft Demo cards, it might just make me post a little more often.

Thanks so much for dropping in.
