First Christmas Card

Had a little play with the Chameleon Pens I ordered.  Not going to make me a brilliant colourist overnight but they do simplify chosing colours and the results straight away are not too bad.  I found the hair the most difficult and I have not coloured the skin tones well either, too pale.  I was pleased with the colour graduation on the fairy wings and on the clothing. What do you think?

This pretty little image is a digi from Sylvia Zet.  I used the Papermania Eeau De Nile (sp) papers and a wild orchid rose dipped in glamour dust.  Lots of sparkle!

I would like to enter this for the following challenges:

Thanks for looking, back soon with a Silver Annivesary Pop Up Box card.

Go Confidently

In the direction of your dreams.  This is the sentiment on a card I made for my son's 18th birthday.  The image is a Mo Manning Digi, 'Dare'.  He is super cool!  I start most of my posts apologising for my absence and this is no different.  This year has been one of big changes, a new job and all that entails.  Finally feeling I am getting control of my working life again.  I put my card making on a back burner for a while.  I will be working 4 days a week now (still full time, long days) but the day I get back should make up for it all.

Here is the image coloured with copics.  I used the Tim Holtz clock die and Xcut Die Gears and Coggs as embellishments. I have used silver embossing powder to distress the die cuts and also used some silver mirri card for a few of the coggs/gears.

I think the paper is a Stampin Up one.

Thanks for looking and I do have a couple more projects to post if you want to visit again.
